I have been using Alpha Strong for a couple of months now and I am so impressed with Justin’s knowledge and expertise. He is always cheerful and his friendly approach really puts you at ease. Justin is very passionate about what he does. I’ve absolutely loved the last couple of months training under his guidance. He’s knowledgeable, patient, can easily adapt exercises to suit, and can makes you feel comfortable even when you’re being pushed out of your comfort zone. He definitely doesn’t use a one size fits all approach to programmes. I know the reason for seeing a PT is different for everyone and I feel my programme is 100% specific to the goals that we discussed. In only 2months my running has vastly improved. I have lost weight, toned up, got stronger and have a much better relationship with food. Justin is realistic about life and eating so gives you the guidance to be able to make better choices and gain control. I landed on my feet - unevenly 😂 - when I made the fortunate decision to choose him as my trainer. Justin's knowledge of the human body is just remarkable - and his attention to detail and analysis of form correction is incredible. MS and its associated nerve damage has mainly given me weakness in one leg and the opposing arm which has thrown me off balance for the last 15 years, not that I noticed! but thanks to Justin’s attention to form detail I am beginning to rebalance and strenthen up the weak areas. Even the slipped disc in my neck barely gives me any problems these days as my neck and shoulder muscles are holding everything in the right place. I don’t fall over as much as I did, I’ve got the strength to hold myself upright now when I trip over something. That in itself is awesome. If you want strength training you won’t get better than Justin. And he’s a lovely bloke too! Although I haven’t held up my end of the bargain and lost very much weight, I feel so much better, so much stronger, I walk better, I’m empowered. Thank you so much Justin! UPDATE!! Miracles keep happening…. Since my first MS relapse 15 years ago I've had to use my hand to lift my right leg in when getting in the car. Over the last month or so I’ve noticed that my leg has been trying to move on its own and has been partially successful. Well today, I got into the car and my right leg joined me too, all on its own! That’s just awesome! I couldn’t quite believe what was happening and I didn’t think for one minute that the incapacity caused by MS could in any way be restored, but gradually it’s happening. I was very nervous about going to the gym and starting with a trainer, as I have never found exercising easy, but Justin immediately put me at ease. At the start, he took time to assess and develop a targeted routine that pushed me but I could also do on my own which has really built my confidence up. Within 4 weeks I feel stronger more confident in the gym and have found I really like picking up heavy stuff! If you are looking for a trainer with great attention to detail, who loves their craft and shows in their planning then Justin is your man.
